RF Pultrusion Preheaters - Multi-Electrode

RF PULTRUSION PREHEATERS - MULTI-ELECTRODE

Pultrusion Preheaters use one of the most cost-effective and fastest growing methods for production of composite materials. Thermex offers its pultrusion preheaters in a multi-electrode model to provide a range of options for companies looking to implement this method in production.

The multi-electrode model provides a higher frequency of 80 MHz. Additionally, manufacturers can leverage the adjustable electrode height.

This machine offers a spatial footprint that is only slightly larger than the single-electrode model.

Proudly made in the U.S.A.

Terminology

RF Pultrusion

More and more high-volume production facilities are using this agile manufacturing process. RF pultrusion is globally sustainable. This process converts fiberglass, reinforced fibers, and other raw materials.  After RF pultrusion, these materials produce, among other things, fiber-reinforced plastic composites/polymers (FRPs). The key part of this process involves a pulling method, using a heated die.

Continuous RF Power

Continuous RF power is an uninterrupted wave of high-frequency heat. The alternating voltage of electromagnetic energy sustains RF pultrusion. Thermex’s specialized machinery is made to maximize the advantages of continuous RF power. Doing so, industries are able to accelerate production speed and transform product capabilities.

Urea formaldehyde molding powder

Thermex-Thermatron preheaters utilize RF technology to preheat this thermosetting plastic. This molding material is a compound of urea and formaldehyde. Manufacturers leverage the RF heating process to develop urea formaldehyde molding powder. Using powerful Thermex machinery, this compound facilitates production of plywood and adhesives.
